The ‘Gie’s Peace’ project worked with St Ninian’s Primary in Gourock P7 and P6/7 groups to create these graphic novels. The young people participated in ‘Gie’s Peace’ anti-sectarianism workshops running alongside their Divided City project delivered by their teacher. Magic Torch – our local folklore and storytelling experts came in to share their skills, helping participants create a story about discrimination and bring characters to life.

The ‘Gie’s Peace’ project aims to open up discussion about sectarianism and create a space to explore equalities issues. These conversations are then able to develop in to creative responses, offering new opportunities, building skills and discovering new ways to share stories and experiences. Creative products are shared with and made available to the wider community, raising awareness and sparking discussion about the issue of Sectarianism.
