“Colours of our Scarves” is a project run by Supporters Direct Scotland with funding from the Scottish Government. Colours of our Scarves will visit locations all over Scotland and use a variety of platforms to tackle sectarianism in and around the football environment.

 Statement

The objective of the programme is to challenge sectarianism by raising awareness, collecting data and promoting inter-cultural understanding and acceptance across Scotland and specifically around football and the communities that live within close proximity to football stadia. In addition to workshops, focus groups and facilitated discussion the programme plans to visit the 42 senior football clubs in Scotland displaying its football fans exhibition on match days and staff will be conducting surveys on how people feel about sectarianism and the prevalence of it in their local communities. The photographic exhibition is designed to show the synergy that all football fans experience and highlight the shared emotions and sentiments of football supporters throughout the country regardless of affiliation.
