As part of the collaboration with Education Scotland and YouthLink Scotland, Sense over Sectarianism have been delivering a number of CPD sessions to Local Authorities across the country.

As a result of this initiative a CPD session was delivered at Williamwood High School in the East Renfrewshire Council Local Authority.

The session was delivered as a “twilight” on Wednesday 8th November and was attended by a variety of Education workers representing the Primary, Secondary and Community Education sectors.

As a result of this CPD session a number of projects have been put in place to complement the existing Tackling Sectarianism programme already delivered within the Council.

In particular Woodfarm High School have embraced the opportunity to deliver Tackling Sectarianism resources to a variety of groups within the school curriculum. The current S2 cohort will study “Scarfed for Life” in term 4 of the academic year. The S3 “Wider Achievement Group” will take part in the “Pitchin In” resource delivery with the Police Scotland FoCUS staff in term 3 as part of their Scottish Studies portfolio. And in addition the S4 “Personal Development Group” group have been taking part in a number of SOS led activities.
